The Joint 22nd World Congress of IFSA and 15th EUSFLAT Conference is coming to Bari, Italy, 13–17 September 2027! If you work on Soft Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Fuzzy Logic, uncertainty and imprecision, XAI, consider proposing a Special Session. Special Sessions are a great opportunity to bring researchers together around a focused topic, foster discussion on

The first ESTYLF Enric Trillas Award is for Prof. José Luis Verdegay Galdeano. Congratulations to the Awardee! The award will be given in Jaén (November 11-13, 2026), during the celebration of the Spanish Conference for Fuzzy Logic and Technology, which will take place as part of the Spanish Conference on Artificial Intelligence.

Martin was recognized as a new EUSFLAT Honorary Member in the General Assembly held in Rome (Italy) during the IPMU 2026 conference. He was nominated by the board, and his candidature was approved by unanimity, in consonance with the following criteria: (i) long-time loyalty and strong contributions to the Society; (ii) strong contributions to EUSFLAT’s

Two out of the four students granted by EUSFLAT to attend the IPMU 2026 conference were awarded best paper awards: Nicolás Carrizosa Arias (University of Oviedo, Spain) and Jono Sonck (Ghent University, Belgium)

Gabriella Casalino, the EUSFLAT secretary, presented her work in a plenary talk today at IEEE WCCI 2026: “Towards Explainable AI for Bipolar Disorder Monitoring”. Good job! It is worth noting that this is a work developed in collaboration with Katarzyna Kaczmarek-Majer, who is the EUSFLAT Vice-president, and framed in the project ExplainME.

Congratulations to Vladik Kreinovich, Professor of Computer Sciences with the University of Texas at El Paso, who received the IEEE 2026 Fuzzy Systems Pioneer Award (sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society) at IEEE WCCI 2026. This award recognizes Vladik’s outstanding and pioneering contributions to developing interval techniques for dealing with fuzzy uncertainty. Good Job:
